The morning path

The flutter of wings
catches the eye
as the wind caress the thin canopy,
rustling the sleepy leaves,
giving chance for the sun to peek through,
throwing shadows playing chase
on the dark pavement.

The wind continues
as it heads to its destination,
so do I,
a passerby in this scene,
a story of a morning
glorious and content
in its own quiet splendour.

I can never quite manage to take a decent photo of this path that I take sometimes on the way to work. You get to see some birds in flights sometimes, squirrels jumping tree to tree, and the cicadas loud and clear, bringing me to times and places of yore. That short stretch lasting a few minutes walk is probably the best part of the mornings, where after that it just goes all the way downhill.....bleh.

ok no negative thoughts!
