Sat Picnic + Hockey Finals

Been a long time since I had the chance to go picnic. Some pleasant surprises came and I was supposed to pickup a picnic basket from Botanical Gardens..so packed my mum and sis, went to Botanical Gardens yesterday.

Check out the rays of sunlight streaming through the foliage...so rustic!

When we reached, we realised that Botanical Garden was packed with people?! Then realised that it was the launch of the National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign :/ A lot of people (students,aunties from CCs..) were already starting to streaming back, and they looked like that they had a good workout (meaning all sweaty and flushed faced).

The whole place was abuzz with activities as many booths were set up. Went searching for the Delight Booth, as briefed by the guy who called me on Friday, to pick up the picnic basket from the Delight Booth.

And guess what, we get not only one basket..we got two! Woohoo!

Two authentic picnic baskets! We were about to explore the contents...

And found a lot of goodies! There were two sets of salald, two trays of pastries with two rolls of cheese (that you see on the top of the photo), two sets of 6 finger sandwiches (got smoked salmon, got mayo egg, got tuna), got two orange-mixed fruit salad, fruits preserves..so everytime X2 baskets!

There was also another cooler bag of F&N drinks. We also got a mat for the NHLC, with nice smiley flowers, but didn't take photo.

So thank you Power 98, Shangri-La for the picnic baskets! And F&N for the drinks :)))

Anyway since I didn't know that it was such a big event, it was quite a pity as apparently, there were activities and performances since 7.30am. There were still some activities going on, so went to explore with sis.

So many people..

When I went back, my mum told me the guys who were manning the picnic basket booth came around to take some photograph, probably for the sponsors. And she got this poloraid..think she was very pleased with it :p

Anyway the guy came around again and we took a group photo.

After that it was digging into the food..and R&R...

The two Nintendo DS addicts..they were playing all the way from home to botanical gardens in the car lor -.-"

I am more old fashioned..I was quite content reading the papers. (btw 881 was selected to be sent to the Oscars..I wonder how the panel is going to view the part of the ammo-shooting bra, and the fast costume changing scenes macham Bollywood movie..but I still like their songs! I will learn learn how to sing 行情怀！)

After that it was sky watching....

Had to leave early cos got the finals in the afternoon. Managed to catch a 30 mins short nap (sleep is such a rare commodity nowadays). Scorching hot day..

Ger's groupies contributions to the game..served with a lot of screams -.-" Btw dear Ms Sweet Lin was holding her own placard ..Nice legs Ms Ho!

Anyway after one half dropping off toenail and one slightly pulled hamstring later..we lost 3-1. What a pity, we always do ourselves in at the crucial moment..but well..we were already planning how to use the prize money during dinner time..and joking about how someone can actually juggle hockey ball on shoulder. We are just so resilient...muahahah

Went home and rewarded my face with a thick layer of moisture mask..for a whole day out. Shiok! :)
